In continuation of my letter of 17th July
I enclose a copy of a letter I received direct from
Chambers of the Income Tax Department in India, and
of my reply. His letter rather confirms my first
feeling that he will probably be too expensive for
the proposed income tax inquiry here, but you will
be able to ascertain what might be the expense of
getting a man direct from the Inland Revenue
Department at home.
Yours sincerely,
G.E.J. Gent, Esq., 0.B.E., D.S.O., M.C.,
Colonial Office,
LONGON.
