With reference to Colonial Office letter
No.53890/39 of the 20th April 1939, we have now
received from the Hong Kong Government two lists of pensioners the dollar pensions, or portions of dollar pensions, registered in whose names under the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Fund will continue to be eligible for payment at the rate of 3s. Od. to the
dollar, and we are notifying these pensioners accordingly.
The names of four pensioners viz: M.T.H.Blake, J.R.Crook, C. H. Gale and G.W.Kynoch (to whom we sent a copy of our circular letter of the 1st September, 1938) are not, however, included in these lists now received from Hong Kong, and they have, therefore, not been sent a copy of our recent notification. We shall be glad to learn whe ther anything further should be done in these four cases.
