TELEGRAM from the Governor of Hong Kong to the
Secretary of State for the Colonies.

renated to Air Officer Commanding R. A. F. Far Eastern
Command.
My despatch No. 720 of 15th November, 1959. welson who recently resumed his post in the Colony in reply to that request for the maximum period of six months has
applied to resign to take up Imperial Airways post screened 50494. by the Air Ministry As the offer is very much to his
advantage I do not wish to stand in the way and would be
prepared to accept his resignation after a month's notice .

Superintending of the Aerodrone single handed and the risk
•41015 ́ of breakdown is too grave to be taken. In these

circumstances can you secure immediato release of Oxford
(see my despatch No. 780) or alternatively obtain suitable
Assistant Superintendent for Acrodrone meanwhile prevailing
on Imperial Airways to keep the post open for the
named.
Oxford is at present in the Colony, I shell 90
glad to receive an early reply.
