Dear Smet,
You will remember that in my letter #o.F 4210/52/10
of the 24th Way I said that we vere exploring with Cable
and wireless Limited the possibilities of an alternative
method of enabling you to obtain cheaper rates for the
telegrams sent from Indo-China by the Committee for
Technical Collaboration with China.
The proposal which we put to the company was that it
might be possible for these telegrams to be sent by the
cable route from Cape St.Jamas to hong kong and Singapore
and we asked than whether, in that case, they could see
their way to allow a rebate on the charge applicable to
telegrams sent on Langue of Nations business on their
section of the route to Geneva.
The company have now replied that they will be
League of Nations.
