With reference to your despatch No. 224

(F 5268/120/10) of the 21st May, 1958, concerning the

work of medical assistance undertaken by the League of

Nations in China, I have the honour to report that the

"Vaderland" of the 27th June stated that fifty cases

containing vaccine would shortly be shipped to China.

vaccine, which is for use against cholera, typhus and

paratyphus, is said to be sufficient for 250,000 persons

and has been paid for by the proceeds of a collection in

the streets of Rotterdam.
