Dear Wardley,
With reference to previous correspondence
about the extension of the lease of the new territories in Hong Kong, you may like to see the enclosed copy of a further letter we have had from
the Governor on this subject.
We have not yet received the observations
of the Board of Trade on the commercial importance
of Hong Kong to British trade and I am sending a copy
of the Governor's letter to willis.
