Mission Chungking telegram No. 92 and Shanghai telegram No. 250 [of the 3rd and 14th March; lease of new territories
of Hongkong].
This matter has recently received full consideration here and while the possibility of taking it up with Chinese authorities is being borne in mind, conclusion has been reached that proposal cannot advantageously be taken further at present time.
