I have the honour to inform you that
Mr. Au Kwok-leung, Higher Class, Junior Clerical
Service, has applied for permission, owing to failing
health, to retire on pension on 1st February, 1940,
at the expiration of such leave as may be due to
him. Mr. Au will be fifty three years of age on
28th November, 1939, and will have completed nearly
thirty six years service in February, 1940. He is
a capable and efficient officer whose services this
Government will be sorry to lose, but in view of his
failing health I recommend that his request may be
granted in accordance with Section 8 (b) of the
Pensions Ordinance No.21 of 1932.
