Dear
Mr. Doswell,
March, 1939.
Thank you for your letter of
(18) the 23rd February in which you briefly
set forth your view of the present
situation with regard to the proposed
aircraft factory in Hong Kong.
We have not yet received the
despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong
to which you refer in your letter, and
until we have done so and have had time
FURTHER ACTION.
to discuss it with the Foreign Office if
necessary, I am inclined to doubt
whether an interview such as you seek
would serve any useful purpose.
However, if you still think it would be
worth while I will be perfectly
prepared to see you towards the end of
the coming week, if you would care to
arrange previously a date and time by
telephone.
