Association London has had rogrettably unsettling effect on
the Chinesa in Hong Kong. In the Legislative Council this
afternoon I am making a short statement emphasising clarity and obvious sincerity of the Prime Minister's statement in the House of Commons that the declaration docs not change
the British Governmont's policy in China and pointing out that the mistrust of His Majesty's Government can result in
nothing but harm to Great Britain and China.
