INTERNMENT CAMP. GUARD COMMANDER.

1. Sentries will be posted as follows:-

By day

Guard sentry.

By night Towers Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and Guard.

To be armed with .303" rifles.

Magazines will be charged and cut offs closed.

will not be fixed.

Guard sentry by night will be a stick sentry.

All sentries will at all times have whistles with

which to sound the alarm signal.

On the alarm sounding all sentries will at once be

swords fixed, rifles loaded, the extra ten men will fall in with buckshot rifles and await orders of the Camp

Commandant.

During sentry reliefs the N.C.O. in charge of the relief will inspect the wire on making his rounds and will report

to the Guard Commander on completion of the relief.

5.

All arms not in use during the day will be kept chained

and locked in the Guard.

At night each individual will be responsible for his own arms, the spare buckshot rifles will be kept locked and chained in the Guard. The key will be kept by the Guard

Commander.

6.

The alarm will be a succession of short blasts on a

whistle. This will be taken up by all sentries.

The alarm will be sounded on any attempt to escape, on a fire breaking out in the Camp, on any disturbance or in the event of the lighting system failing.
