Addressed - Consul Foochow repeated British Embassy

Shanghai, C. in C. China, Admiralty

IMPORTANT.

Your 1727 24th July. Myok assures me

there has not been any question of seizing FOOKHA,

and that she was warned by Japanese Destroyer to

leave harbour before being mined in, but only Chinese

found on board who apparently misunderstood this

warning.

In any case she must now remain at Santuao on

account of minefields.
