With reference to ay despatch No. 106
of 6th June last, on the subject of Japanese
military" seroplanes flying over Hongkong terri-
tory, I have the honour to inform Your xcellency
that, in site of the rezark of the Japanovs
Con ul- Beneral which wea quoted in the last sen-
tence of pore,raph 2 of my despatch under reference,
to the effect that there seemed to be no doubt in
this particular instance, r. kazaki yesterday
informed me that the Japanese naval authorities
had been unable to trace any flights by their planes
over British territory! Thio at least e:

interesting, and p rups useful, public edmi aion
of the inaccurate flight recorde kept by their
eirmon!

In these circus Lances, since the Japane
are clearly not disposed to a unit that they were
in the wrong, it is useles2, and I do not propose,
to pursue the matter further, unless I learn from
Your xcellency that you desire further representations
to be mouŒ.
