Le have the honour to refer to our letter to
you of the 6th instant vit. reference to the seizure of the
above vossel by the Japanese.
On the 12th instant Kr. Cheng Wah Kan the
Yanaging artner of the Vah ling Chipping Co. the Charterers
received a letter from one Li Chi & tally shroff on the
vessel. The latter was posted at ham os and had apparently been sent from there to Canton before reaching dong Kong.
le enclose a translation of the letter and of the envelope
in which it was contained.
We understand that San Chow is alose to Wham A38
on the rearl Miver. That the shi is now anchored at
Whampoa has been confirmed to kr. Cheng Yah Kan by a friend
of his ramed Lai who went to Centon via kucao on the 4th
instant and saw the ship then anchored at Sha Kon near
Bocca Tigris. Un his return journey on the 9th instant he
saw the ship anchored at #hampoa.
