The Colonial Secretary, Hong Kong, presents his compliments to the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, London, and with reference to the Secretary of //State's despatch No.165 of 19th May, 1939, regarding the

application made by the Dairen Kisen Kaisha for the

clearance of certain vessels from Hong Kong, is directed to forward herewith for his information a copy of an extract from the South China Morning Post dated 27th July,

1939, regarding a judgment delivered by the Chief Justice of Hong Kong on this subject.
