My immediately preseding
telegram. Major General Taneke celled on me this
morning and expressed #eneral Andʊ's deep regret end
apology for Shumchun incident. I replied that I was
highly appreciative of General Ando'a action in sending
his Chief of Staff on this mission and was gled to know that the incident had been disposed of setifactorily
by the Governments concerned.
Discussion re compensetion will take plece
with the Colonial Secretary this afternoon,
Tomorrow
other points will be discussed between the Commander in
the General Jificer Commending and the person named.
