enticing the Burmese to be friendly to Japan. A certain

TADASHI, OHBA has returned to Japan with the object of

obtaining a big fund to further the above work. Japanese

shops in Rangoon such as the KI TIN TO;

free of charge, unsalable goods in their stock, such as

cotton singlets, towels, curtains, rubber shoes, etc. to

the Burmese through Burmese monks in an effort to create

pro-Japanese sentiments among the Burmese.
