Hence, I requested various offices to pick out those

messages which are not so confidential and to have them

sent by the Radio Office in order to show that we are

temporarily without transmitting facilities and to avoid

attention.

Recently there have been several occasions when radio

stations, unlawfully established by our Government

organisations, have been discovered by the Hong Kong

Government and were fined by them. Fortunately our Bank

took precautions and left no trace.

The Hong Kong Government does not allow the removal

from Hong Kong territory of the apparatus brought from SHUM

CHUN but we have had it smuggled out. However, we informed

the Hong Kong Government that we were going to fix up the

remaining parts of the apparatus for transmitting purposes

(elsewhere ?). Meanwhile, works have been resumed (In Hong

Kong ?). Please do not worry.

The expenses for establishing a station for this Bank

were originally fixed at $1,000 as agreed by the contractor

?, but a $500 increase was necessary due to other fixtures

elsewhere. We are now paying only about 1,300.00 per month

for such expenses.

Sincerely yours,

INGOK.
