At about 11.15 hours on the 2nd February, 1939,
observed motor
lorry No.5029 (United Delivery) draw up close to the barbed
wire opposite the Blockhouse. Six Chinese males alighted,
one went into Chinese Territory, and later returned with
a Chinese Policeman. Enquiries were made as to where the
load was going, and it was found that the load was going
into Chinese Territory. Coolies were engaged to carry the
goods, consisting of four large packing cases, and three
smaller ones. There were ten camp-beds and bedding and
household effects.
It was noticed that the goods were being placed in
a newly constructed house directly opposite the Blockhouse
in Chinese Territory. Further enquiries were made and the
cases were found to contain a Wireless Transmitting and
Receiving Set also six large batteries, and one Homelite
Engine for charging batteries. The set was assembled and
aerial erected.

It is a twin aerial transmitting set, and can transmi
to any part of China, being equal in power to the Shum Chun
Transmitters, it is powered by six batteries and a trans-
former. Transmission is on three wave lengths 24.5 metres,
50 metres, and 73 metres. Station call sign is P.S. The
set is owned by the Central Government, and is taking the
place of one destroyed by Japanese at Bias Bay. It is to
be used for transmitting information regarding Japanese
movements in surrounding districts.
At present there are two operators named Wong Kam
Tsi and Li Kau Loi, the latter is a Shanghai Chinese, and
