characters "National Affair" will be engraved on

the weapons used for the next attempt. In remarks

below this message it is written that "National

Affair" is not right, and that the secret symbols

PING ON or KAT HING (Safety or Good Luck) should

be engraved. At 54 KUNG says that characters

are not suitable and gives instructions to engrave

floral designs.

Enclosure 55 112 answers that characters

should be engraved, as the newspapers will insert

characters on implements used proving that the

right assassination squad did the job. If floral

designs were used the newspapers would not be able

to insert and therefore it would not be proved

who did the assassination. KUNG at 56 agrees

on characters 'which do not touch the edge'.

Enclosure 58 is from 1123 saying that

the characters 'PING ON KAT HING are engraved on
