prior to occupation, reports he went to Canton to
endeavour to get back his shop and found it occupied
by a Japanese sugar and matches dealer named ONO, who
listened to his claim, but refused to give up the shop
but promised to pay the Chinese $40 per month rent for the
premises. It is expected that the two will come to

typical of the shop business position in Canton at the

Hong Kong and Canton, it is reported that a Japanese

Building for the purpose of arranging the exchange of
goods between Canton and Hong Kong in Chinese firm

old established fims in Hong Kong and graft and flying
the fivebar flag are said to protect such shipments from
Japanese Canton Delta patrol action other than search for
arms.
