extend the scales of these services as proposed
by the Committee.
On the pound
Zweien, however, that the
scheme now adopted offers lower residential
allowances for these services than the "Caldecott"
proposals (which granted a residential allowance
the Le
salaris
of £150 for Matt between £1,000 and £1,150),
Governor has decided that the scales for the
Administrative Services, for Principals and Inspectors
of Schools in the Education Service, and for Executive
Engineers in the P.W.D. should be extended by one
further increment to £1,200. The residential
allowance would presumably be £70 (see para. 2 of
16).

On page 5 of 12 we suggested a fixed
salary of £1,100 for this post in place of the £1,050
to £1,250 suggested on page 26 of the Anomalies
Committee report. The Governor, however, now
recommends
managers that this post should be placed on the
same scale as that proposed above for Executive
Engineers, etc. viz., a maximum of £1,200 without
quarters.

salaries for the posts mentioned above might be
fixed at £1,200 in place of the £800 x 30 940/1,000
x 50 - 1,250 plus residential allowance recommended
