which will ensure the cessation of these attacks.

I have the honour further to enclose a

memorandam giving resumés of five cases of attacks by

Japanese forces on junks in which there has been a direct

British interest, and to draw Your Excellency's attention

to the fact that in all five cases His Majesty's Govern-

ment feel themselves fully justified in maintaining the

claims for compensation which have already been

presented.

I avail myself of this opportunity to
