Government resulting from the refugee problem but there
are many Governments today which have a similar problem.
As regards these particular refugees the schedule to the
Governor's despatch of 11th October last shows the net
amount spent on their relief as $3,230.50. This does not
seem to be a sum which would be said to be outside Hong
Kong's capacity to pay, and in all the circumstances we
hope that it will not be felt that any hardship will result through our inability to accept responsibility for the
expenses in question.
