Date:-

21st December, 1938.

To:-

Commodore, Hong Kong.

Subject:- H.M.S. Cornflower Condition of Hall.

Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force

Submitted

Its

development.

Herewith-

(1) Ny report on the condition of the Hull of

H. M. S. Cornflower.

(2) Report by Lieut. (E) A.C.Ford giving a rough

estimate of the cost of repairs $50,000.

Circumstances have anticipated, by a short

period, the discussion of important issues. In consequence

I have prepared the attached memorandum

"Imperial Defence Relation of Hong Kong Naval

Volunteer Force thereto."

It is suggested that the subject is one for

discussion by the N.V.F. Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong

Volunteer Advisory Committee.
