of June on the subject of Sloss's visit and the
future of the Hong Kong University.
I am passing
the letters on to Gent as you suggest, and you may
rely on both of us that we will do all we can to
ecgist Sloss on his arrival.
You may rest assured too
that we fully appreciate the wider questions of policy
that you have referred to in your letter and the
necessity of outside financial assistance if the
University is to exercise the wider influence that
vou have in mind.
