Representatives shall assist the superior

or church supervisor in connection with the management of the

temple or church.

The superior or the church supervisor must

report the appointment or dismissal of representatives to the

mayor of the city, town or village.

Article 9.

Temples, or churches which are juridical

persons, must, as provided by Government order, have treasures

and other important property other than immovable property registered in the Register of Church Property or the Register

of Temple Property kept by the Governor of the Prefecture.

Porsons desiring to inspect, or to obtain

a copy of, or an extract from, the Register of Church Property

or the Register of Temple Property may apply for the same, as

provided by Government order.

Article 10.

When a temple, or a church which is a

juridical person, wishes to perform any of the acts mentioned below, it must obtain the assent of the representatives;

it must also, except in the case of a church coming under sub- heading (5) of paragraph 2 of Article 6, submit an opinion in

writing from the superintendent priest or director of the

denomination; and it must obtain the sanction of the Governor

of the Prefecture.

To dispose of or mortgage immovable

property or property registered in the Register of

Temple Property or in the Register of Church Property.

To borrow money or give a guarantee.

In cases under the preceding paragraph, when

it is impossible to obtain the assent of the representatives, the superior or the church supervisor may inform the Governor of the Prefecture of the reasons and ask for his approval.
