When it is desired to alter the regulations

of a temple or a church, or when a church, which is not a

Juridical person, wishes to become a juridical person, it shall

be necessary, with the assent of the representatives of the

believers and, except in the case of a church coming under sub-

heading (5) of the preceding paragraph, with the prior authority

of the superintendent priest or the head of the denomination,

to obtain the sanction of the Governor of the Prefecture.

Article 7.

A (Buddhist) temple shall have a superior

and a church a supervisor.

The superior or church supervisor shall

supervise the temple or church, and represent it.

If the office of superior or church

supervisor is vacant, or if a superior or church supervisor is

a minor or cannot carry on his duties for a long time,

procurator shall be appointed to carry out his duties.

Article 8.

A temple or a church shall have three or

more representatives (hereinafter called representative) of its

believers.
