2665/14.

Sir,

30 END

1st April, 1939.

I am directed by His Excellency the

Governor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter

of 28th March, 1938, on the subject of your claim

to promotion.

2.

I am to say that the recent appointment

to the Principalship of King's College was the

subject of very full enquiry before the decision

was reached. It is on record that you have already

been informed by the previous Director of Education

that you could not expect promotion beyond the grade

of Senior Master.

C. Mycock, Esq.,

Education Department.

I am, Sir,

Your obedient servant,

(Sd.) N. L. Smith.

Colonial Secretary.
