and the new Teachers' Training Centre, and results
so far have been good. As regards paragraph 4 of

now been appointed (Mr.Davis see 53565/39).

of the training of teachers in Hong Kong are 3 and 8

The new Teachers' Training College is to
undertake the training of non-graduate teachers for Anglo-Chinese and vernacular schools, and post-
graduate training is to be left as hitherto to the
University Department of Education. It is also
apparent that there will be a good measure of
co-operation between the University and the Education
Department in the training of teachers.
