Sir,
With reference to the proposals for the
increase of the staff of the Medical Department set
out in my despatch No. 629 dated 13th August, 1938, and
approved in your telegram No. 178 dated 2nd September,
1938, I have the honour to request that steps may be
taken to recruit suitable candidates for the two new
posts of Health Officer. Particulars of the posts are
enclosed herewith. The salary scale shown in cage 3
and the information as to quarters in cage 5 follow the
recommendations in the Anomalies Committee Report in
anticipation of your approval.
2.
I have delayed until now requesting that
these vacancies be filled, in order that the new Deputy
Director of Health Services might be given an opportunity
of building up his own immediate staff, but as it now
appears unlikely that the new Deputy Director of Health
Services will arrive before June next I consider it
advisable that steps to engage these two new Health
Officers should no longer be postponed.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
MALCOLM MACDON ALD, M.P.,
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient, humble servant,
بهتان
Governor.
