ALTERNATIVE PROPOSAL FOR LEASE TO KOWLOON GOLF CLUB.

END

(a) The Club at its own expense to become an incorporated association. (b) The Government to expend a sum not exceeding $50,000 in obtaining

surrenders of privately owned land.

(c) The Club, at its own expense, to construct and maintain a golf

course, club house and other buildings required for golf, to the

satisfaction of the Director of Public Works.

(a) If and when all surrenders have been obtained the Crown to grant

a Crown Lease from year to year.

(e) No premium to be charged.

(f) Crown Rent at the rate of 4% on the sum expended at (b) to be

charged.

(g) Provided all conditions of lease are complied with, tenancy not

to be disturbed for 10 years, except for a public purpose, in which

case compensation for expenditure on course and buildings will be

made.

(h) The position, design and plans of Club House and other buildings to

be subject to the special approval of the Director of Public Works. (i) Boundaries to be settled by the Director of Public Works.

(j) Government reserves right to build roads across the area. (k) Public and private rights of way (if any) across the area to be

excepted or reserved.

(1) The land and buildings to be used only for the purposes of a golf

club.

(m) Underletting or alienation in any other way to be prohibited except

with the consent of the Governor.

(n) The Crown Lease to contain such other clauses as are usually inserted

in similar Crown Leases in this Colony, and in particular, mutatis

mutandis, those contained in the Crown Lease to the Royal Hong Kong

Golf Club of Fanling Lot No. 1.
