Sir,

I have the honour to inform

you that as from the 2nd of June, 1938,

the Passport Authority in Hong Kong is the Commissioner of Police.

Passports and visas granted in Hong Kong will therefore be signed by an officer of the Police Department on behalf of the Commissioner of Police instead of being signed by an officer of the Colonial Secretariat on behalf of the Colonial

Secretary as heretofore.
