I have the honour to forward a copy of a report dated 8th October, 1937, from the Waterworks
Engineer on the subject of an observed defect in the Pineapple Pass Dam of the Jubilee Reservoir, Shing Mun. 2. The Consulting Engineers were immediately notified by telegraph end Mr. Binnie made a special trip from Burma by air. I enclose also a copy of his report on the subject.

No remedial work will be possible until the water has sunk, probably in about two months' time,
to the requisite level.
4. A further report from Mr. Binnie is expected when he has had an opportunity of consulting his
partners in London.
