My telegram Ño. 196.

I am reliably informed that

the Chinese have destroyed Tung Touha bridge on the

Canton-Kowloon railway and that the rolling stock of the

I have protested by telephone and am trying to see the Chinese

authorities regarding latter.

Addressed to British Embassy, Shanghai telegram No. 200.
