ARTICLE NINE. All principal surgical instruments,
contained in list two, shall be exempt from import duty as
medicines used for wounded soldiers and civilians, and shall
be dealt with according to Articles five and six of these
Measures.
ARTICLE TEN. Should doubts exist in regard to a medicine
known under a different name on the list accompanying those
Measures, a deposit import duty shall be paid temporarily; or the Customs may first release the goods duty free, by
requiring the importer to furnish a guarantor, and ask the health service department to clarify and decide the matter.
ARTICLE ELEVEN. The health service department may from time
to time as necessity warrants, consult with the Ministry of
Finance as to the inclusion of any medicines which are not
included in the list.
ARTICLE TWELVE. These Measures shall be enforced after they
have been jointly submitted to the Executive Yuan for
record by the Ministry of Finance and the National Health
Administration. The Ministry of Finance shall consult
with the National Health Administration from time to time
as to the date upon which these Measures shall cease to
be effective.
