The Association's party will almost
certainly be four they tell me.
Dr. O'Brien will be able to come and I have
accordingly arranged for the meeting to be in
Mr. Cowell's room. (He is away, as you know).

The party came this morning.
They
explained that the policy of the Govt. in this
country was to leave to the discretion of local
authorities how far the publicly advertised
purposes of the Assoc: in England could be
allowed to be pursued at public health centres;
and there are many local authorities which have
decided to permit it and some which assist it
financially.
Mrs. Pyke left with me the various
documents relating to the Assocn. at home and
the League in H.K. (which is an affiliated body)
