Diplomatic hission reports Pawley's scheme of establishing aircraft factory in Yunnan Fu has been
approved by the Chinese Government but that this is quite independent of his plan for plant at Hongkong to assemble Lockheeds. The latter is said to have been the subject of correspondence between the Governor of Hongkong, Colonial office, Air linistry and four departments.
I have ho information on this subject apart from Governor of Hongkong's secret despatch of September 19th to the Colonial Office and should be glad if any relevant information could be passed to me.
