5. After loading or unloading cargo or taking on

passengers or loading cargo on waters off Tiger Island,

every merchant vessel shall, in addition to the flag

requesting the presence of a pilot and the ordinary

international port-leaving flag, hoist the Company's House

Flag and the flag denoting the name of the vessel to notify

the Headquarters of the Commander of Bocca Tigris. Upon

receiving approval from that Headquarters the vessel will

then be guided to the sea by the pilot, who will leave the

vessel upon her arrival in Hongkong.

Every outgoing merchant vessel, whether she is

proceeding to Hongkong or directly to any other port, shall

carry the pilot to Hongkong to enable him to land there.

6. Every merchant vessel, which has filled in and

submitted the 'merchant vessel entrance declaration form'

during her entrance to the river for the first time, shall

not be required to submit such a form when she enters the

river for the second time, but is required to follow the

procedure atipulated in Article 3 of these measures.

7. The channel to be followed by launches or lighters

navigating on waters in the vicinity of Tiger Island (

is limited to the southwestern point of Beding Field Point

) within waters of Tiger Island, 1.e. 1130 331

15" Longitude E., 22° 32' 10" Latitude N., and navigation

is permitted on the fairway between the green flags hoisted

there.

8. Any merchant vessel of less than 7-foot draught

is permitted to navigate freely on watere surrounding Tiger

Island in accordance with the provisions of Article 7, and

is not required to use launches or lighters to tranship

passengers or cargo, but for navigating on waters between
