An examination has now been made into the losses
incurred by British subjects as a result of this attack.
I have the honour, under instructions from His Majesty's
Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, to lay
before Your Excellency a claim on this account of thirty
thousand four hundred and sixty-nine Hongkong dollars
($30,469).
Particulars of this claim will be found on
the statement enclosed herein.
I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to
