Unknown but there appear to be 200,000 tc 250,000 existing refugees of all classes in Hong Kong. It is apparently im- possible to estim te as yet the numbers of this class to be provided for.
Temporary accommodation for 3,500 destitute women, children and infirm men in two
camps.
The Tung Wah Hospitals already accommodate sick refugees. To deal with other refugees in transit it is proposed to set up a temporary camp in Kowloon to serve as a clearing house. There will be accommodation for 1,000 persons in the first instance.
Building of accommodation in Kowloon to be let to the refugees at the rate of $2 per month per person housed.
