With reference to Foreign Office telegram
to you No.453 of 6th July, 1938, regarding the attack
on Hong Kong fishing junk No.291 H.W., I have the
honour to forward herewith for presentation to the
Japanese Government a claim for compensation in
respect of losses sustained amounting in all to
$11,872.50.
2.
It is regretted that there has been some
delay in the preparation of this claim owing to the
difficulty in getting into touch with witnesses.
