that of the second Engineer, also Engine Room and stoke-hold,
and on arrival at the Pescadores, the Chief Engineer's cabin
was twice searched, and all ship's papers and log books were
taken ashore.
The books were returned to the Chief Engineer, on
release of the ship, excepting one docking report.
The Chief Engineer lost none of his personal
belongings, but the 2nd Engineer lost a fountain pen, one
rain coat and shaving gear, also one electric torch.
On arrival at the Pescadores, the Japanese Officers
noted the coal consumption of the ship and speed, I.H.P. and
brake H.P.
