has informed me, however, that she is unknown
to him or to the German community and accordingly
he is unable to accept responsibility for her
expenses. Her present whereabouts are unknown.
As she was not evacuated by this Consulate-
General it would appear that the cost of her
maintenance is not properly chargeable to His
Majesty's Government in Great Britain.
3. I have the honour to request, therefore,
that you will be so good as to refund to me
the charges in connection with these persons,
amounting to the sum of Hongkong $359.00, for
the credit of the Foreign Office.
