With reference to your letter
No.53838/2/38 of 9th April 1938 and subsequent
correspondence re expenditure incurred in the
evacuation and maintenance of British refugees
in Hong Kong, we attach for your information copies
of two further letters in connection with a refund
claimed by the Colonial Government which was duly
reimbursed by the Foreign Office on 23rd November
1938.
