- and in all other cases 80 per cent., or 40 per cent., of such sum, according as the officer has dependents or has none.
(c) A rent allowance of $50 per month may be
granted to any unmarried female officer who at any date before 1st June, 1938, was eligible for such allowance.
N.B. 1. In view of the prospective general abolition of
free allowances of water it is unnecessary to preserve provisions on the lines of paragraph (13) of the
existing General Order 117.
2. Paragraph (14) of the existing General Order is
not appropriate to the general subject matter of the Order and its substance might be reproduced in a separate General Urder, to be numbered 107A.
