Under the new scale the salary of the Assistant
Harbour Master has been relatively reduced.
The professional qualifications and responsibilities attached to my Office have apparently been overlooked, and having regard to my length of Service, I submit that my
salary compares very unfavourabl, with those of professional
and other Officers in large Departments.
