ences if we adopted the grouping system now, leaving them to

Alabaster is at home now, as you know, and

I hope it will be possible for him to discuss this matter with

you if you have an opportunity of seeing him.

I should add that I have in mind the com-

pilation of a subject index to the edition which might either

facilitate a new grouping arrangement or to some extent take

the place of it in this edition.

I have not yet received the copies of the

enclosures to the Ceylon despatch which are promised in your

letter but I should like to see them and when they arrive I

will return them by ordinary mail.

was drawn to the fact that you

arrangement for your new Revised

Edition (similar to that adopted for

the 1923 Edition) instead of the

up-to-date chapter form. To show you

the official view on this subject, I
