GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

I have the honour to forward for the
consideration of your advisers on questions of forestry
the accompanying copy of a menorandum by the Superintendent,
Botanical & Forestry Department, regarding the reorganization
and expansion of the forestry side of his department.
2. The proposals in the memorandum appear to be
sound and worthy of adoption; and to facilitate the
suggested redistribution of the forestry staff I have
included provision in the 1939 draft estimates for
temporary quarters at the plantations for the proposed
forestry protection division.
3.
I should be glad to learn if your forestry
advisers have any comments to make on the Superintendent's
recommendations,
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
MALOOIM MACDONALD, M.P.
&c., &c., &c.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient, humble servant,
[Gst Mathest
Governor.
