5. The preservation of the herbaceous small flora might be
ensured by forming small ';
'nature reserves' on suitable sites and
leaving them completely untouched.
6. I would suggest that, in future annual reports, the revenue
and expenditure relating respectively to forestry and to other
departmental activities should be shown separately. It would
no doubt entail some rough apportionment of overhead charges
between the two branches of departmental activity, but this is
worth doing in order to obtain a clearer picture of the financial
aspects of the forestry operations.
